HI I'M LIDIA,
L&E FOUNDER
For a long time, I felt we HAVE TO change the way we use and perceive fashion. After working in fashion for all my adult life, I have seen first-hand how much waste is generated and what fashion can do to the environment. My dream is to have a durable biodegradable product that has very little impact to produce and leaves no traces in the future, so I started with what I know best: design.
Then I slowly built the crafting studio and set out to look for suppliers that shared my values. In 2013 when I started L&E, sustainability was not “fashionable” as it is today, so we hit many roadblocks and challenges but we did what we could with what we had at the time. Today more and more brands innovate towards a more sustainable future and let’s face it, no one person can really make an impact, we have to do it collectively.
If each and everyone of us just started with whatever they feel comfortable with and then grew from there, we could collectively make a change worthy of the name.
